Year 13 student Ben Crosbie has claimed a silver medal at the Junior World Rowing Championships in Lithuania. Ben, as part of the New Zealand men’s quad with Mitchell Mackenzie-Mol (Queen Charlotte College), Marty Davenport (Westlake Boys’ High) and Jack O’Leary (Kavanagh College), came in two seconds behind the winning German crew, holding off challenges from South Africa, the United States, Italy and China. This news follows off from an impressive win in their heat which qualified them for the final. Congratulations to Ben and his team on their medal and a safe journey home.
