Congratulations to Year 13 student Natasha Lloyd who, as well as impressive wins at the National Short Course Swimming Championships, broke two New Zealand records. Natasha won the women’s 50m breaststroke in a national age group record of 31.69 on the opening night of the champs, and on the second day bet her personal best and the New Zealand open record in the 200m breaststroke with a time of 2:27.08. Natasha went on to beat that time later in the day, with a new record of 2:26.99.
Natasha was very pleased with her times, especially after a recent injury which set back her progress. Well done Natasha!
