Pieta Bayley (Year 6) won second place in an English poetry competition to commemorate WW1 with her poem 'Lemon Squeezer Boneyard'. Pieta will travel to the House of Lords this term to collect her poetry prize. Pieta’s poem was one of 300 entries from around the Commonwealth and the first form New Zealand.

This photo was taken at this year's ANZAC service, where Pieta read her poem to everyone who attended.
